General Information about the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal

Nepal is a country of great natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Nature has been bountiful. Nepal has been a great source of attraction for her mountains, landscapes, lakes, green valleys and hill sides serrated in the form of an endless series of terraces. It has one third of the total length of the Himalayan range with Mt. Everest (8,848 m) crowning.

Nepal has some ecological zones ranging from Terai, a narrow strip of the Indo-Gangetic plain along the southern border and with Churia, Mahabharat, Valley and Mountainous zones.

Nepal's great altitudinal variation has resulted in the occurrence of all the world's major climates making Nepal a biological and genetic diversity. Nepal has an amazing range and variety of fauna and flora.

It is populated by about 35 ethnic groups, each of which has its own customs, dresses, languages, etc. The syncretism of Hinduism and Buddhism exists. It is a birth place of Sita, the consort of Lord Rama of the Ramayana epic and Lord Buddha, the apostle of peace.

Its vivid culture is evident in temples and monasteries and festivals observed.

 

Everest Region

Khumbu Himal is the largest, most rugged varied Himalayan range which has the greatest concentration of peaks. The Khumbu Himal is dominated by Mt. Everest, the highest peak of the world. Namche Bazar is the mountainous base of Everest. This region is inhabited by the world famous Sherpas. The Sherpa villages are Syangboche, Khumjung, Kunde, Thame, Thamo, Pangboche, Thyangboche, Pheriche, Lobuche, etc. Much of the Khumbu Himal is included in Sagarmatha National Park which is known for its fauna and flora and included in UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Everest Sherpa Resorts has been established in Syangboche, Solukhumbu district, Everest Region, to introduce unique features in accommodation. Most mountain lodges usually does not provide the kind of comfort a trekker would wish. Therefore this hotel provides quality lodging and fooding to the tourists/trekkers. Besides one can stay here for acclimatisation and as a place to rest. While staying here, one can visit various Sherpa villages and take a leisure hike towards Kalapathar, the base camp of Everest, Gokyo Lake.

Everest Sherpa Resorts caters to quality and moderate class tourists. There are 22 rooms, including 4 single beds, 10 double beds, 2 triple beds and 6 double beds with bathroom. Every four rooms have 2 toilets. Running hot showers are also provided 24 hours a day.

Everest Sherpa Resorts stands atop a hill on a pulpit above the famous Namche bazar. Its location makes you feel as if you are above the clouds.

Everest Sherpa Resorts is a spectacular resort located at an altitude of 3,841m. (12,598ft) above sea level. It is our newest quality tourism establishment in the Everest region. The architecture and intricate interior design resemble that of a typical sherpa home. Its intricate interior design and decorations reflect a perfect sherpa culture. Wide glass windows allow guests to enjoy magnificent views of towering peaks in all directions. Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, Nuptse, Island Peak range, Kusum Kangaru, Kangtega and world famous Tyangboche monastery are visible to the east right from the comfort of your rooms.

To the west, Thame peak, Rolwaling peak range and many unnamed peaks are visible. Lobuche peak, Cho-la peak, Tawache peak and Khumbila (holy peak of Everest region) are visible to the north. Lukla Valley, Bhote koshi river and Dudh koshi river are visible to the south of the hotel.
